The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed Josh Howard to a one-year contract for the veteran's minimum.
Injuries continued to pile up for Minnesota once the season got underway. Chase Budinger tore his meniscus and is expected to be out three months after undergoing surgery on Tuesday. Brandon Roy has missed the last week with knee soreness, and J.J. Barea and Nikola Pekovic have been forced to miss time as well.
Howard, 32, has played nine NBA seasons, including one All-Star season in 2007 with the Dallas Mavericks. Last season with the Jazz he appeared in 43 games and averaged 8.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. The Timberwolves are 5-3 this season and take on Golden State on Friday.
