In viewing the Rubio highlight link from a recent posting, it led me to acknowledge that there will be some Unicorn-related grieving at CH this year. The majority of the great alley-oop highlights came from 3 players (Wes, Beasley and the Lion). None of them are going to be on the floor with him much this year. So, where are the highlight reel oops going to come from?

PEK!!! - Not so much . . .

LOVE??? - Yeah, not really so "high-lighty"

AK? - I suppose there may be a few, but probably not real powerful emphatic ones (more workmanly flavor, I fear)

Ridnour? - HA-HA-HA!!!

Stiemsma - Yeah, don't count on too many here

DC - probably going to be primary recipient for the minutes when the two are on the floor together

Howard? - Doubt it?

Lion? - maybe for the 15 minutes they spend on the floor together before he is traded.

Lee or Alexy? - Maybe a couple, but not many.

Lou? - they probably are on the floor together for a total of 26 seconds this season

JJ? - You need to be able to touch the rim for a an alley-oop to really work effectively . . .

I think the team will be much better this year and that is definitely the most important thing and I am happy about it. HOWEVER, some of the pretty stuff that made the Unicorn looks so magical ain't gonna happen with the same frequency this year, so we better be ready to grieve that loss from day one! Significant growth in the W column will be sufficient consolation to get us through the grief however. If not, I know someone on CH will have beer lists to offer . . .
