Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE

A sprained ankle means Gerald Wallace will sit and Keith Bogans will start

A bit of good news for the Wolves tonight: Gerald Wallace will not play due to a sprained ankle.

Further compounding the shortage for the Nets, Josh Childress will also miss tonight's tilt, and Keith Bogas....who is expected to start....is dealing with some nagging injuries from preseason that will likely limit his burn. Avery Johnson said of Bogans, "I don't think I can take him to 24 minutes."

That means the Wolves will probably see a lot of Andray Blatche and Marshon Brooks tonight, neither of whom have the kind of impact that Wallace does. This still doesn't put a Loveless Wolves squad on par with Brooklyn, but it does narrow the gap quite a bit.
