I just signed up for NBA League Pass so I would never miss any Timberwolve's games. I cancelled my outrageous $160 monthly bill with the cable company. All that $160 got me was internet and 5,000 channels of absolute crap I never watched except the Timberwolves & Twins on FSN, the Vikings on the networks I can get for free with a roof antenna. Occasionally I would watch a game on ESPN, TNT or something like that.
I have a ROKU box with Netflix and many other sites that completely replaced any desire to ever watch any of those 5,000 channels of garbage I was paying for. I switched my internet service provider for $35/month, added the NBA League Pass and planned on adding the MLB package along with the roof antenna to get the Viking games and I'm set.... Or so it would seem....
What a deal! Viking's games for free, Twins and Timberwolves and a gazillion movies and TV programs on the Roku box. I was pretty jazzed to be saving over $100 a month but it turns out almost EVERY SINGLE TIMBERWOLF GAME IS BLACKED OUT...... LITERALLY! I think I would get something like 5 T-Wolf games. Every game aired on FSN, ESPN, ABC, TNT etc.. is blacked out. What a joke! I guess I need to live in Europe or something to take advantage of this. How small is their market for this service?
I REALLY don't want to go back to the satellite or cable services for them to hold me hostage for $100 plus monthly bills just to get FSN included only in one of their deluxe packages. I can accept $120 A YEAR for both the NBA and MLB but $100 A MONTH is just ridiculous and that's what we're talking here.
I am cancelling the League Pass immediately. I hope it's not going to be a problem getting my money back but the Better Business Bureau will be notified if I don't see my money back by next week.
