Indiana's best player will miss Indiana's tilt with the Wolves tonight

Indiana's best player, Danny Granger, will be out until at least February, as he receives treatment for patellar tendinosis.

Losing Granger robs the Pacers of their top scorer, and the one player who brings some balance to their offense. Without him, Indiana lacks a consistent go-to scorer and three point threat. The Pacers are hoping that Paul George can develop into that sort of player, but results so far have been inconsistent.

If the Pacers stay true to their preseason/early season lineups, former Timberwolf Gerald Green will start in Granger's absence, with Lance Stephenson as the primary backup at both the 2 and the 3.

Green has been much-improved since his one-year absence from the NBA. He posted career highs in just about everything last season in New Jersey, including FG%, 3pt%, PER and WS/48.
