Boy, Do I love me some Andrei Kirilinko this year! Watching him do all the little things to win a basketball game is amazing. Like making a back cut to the rim when his defender is watching the ball and not him.
On the other hand, we have Derrick Williams who does all the little things to make himself look better. The best example of this happened on Saturday night against Dallas. Williams got a pass near the rim (I believe it was from Rubio) and went up to make a monster, ESPN-top-play-of-the-day dunk and had it bounce off the back of the rim. It's more important to try to look good rather than score a basket. You never see Kirilinko do this. He just puts the ball into the basket.
It's the difference between a European player taught the fundamentals and an American play taught by ESPN. Hopefully, D-Will will learn something by watch AK-47, but I doubt it.
There if feel better getting this off my chest.
