Target Center Experience

Ok, so I just wanted to put this out there for anyone to agree with, or for someone that has not had a chance to get to Target Center for a game yet this year. I went to the Laker game the other night, and it was unlike any other Wolves game I have been to. My first game I ever went to, was because my mom won tickets from her job, so my grandpa and I went up and had 3 quarters in a suite, and the 4th quarter on the floor. It was amazing, and it's the reason I love the Wolves today. But Sunday's game put that one to shame.

There was a lot of energy in that building, it felt like a playoff game. The pregame deal where they have the player introductions, when the lights went out and they play the video on the screen, that was just awesome, haha it gave me goosebumps. Even though we lost, my grandpa and I had a great time.

I just wanted to share my experience, just in case there is someone out there that hasn't yet made it out for a game. It's definately worth it, and the Wolves need the fans there in support!!! Haha it pushed me to go on a tickets buying rampage. Last night I bought tickets to the Clippers game March 5th, and just now, I bought tickets to go see the Manther in 2 weeks!

GO WOLVES!

It has been unreal this year...

I mean having a packed house helps. The Heat game was better than the Lakers but the Lakers was still loud.

The crazy 121 section helps

They start a lot of cheers, and the camera shows them up and cheering all the time. That stuff spreads across the arena.

I'm going tonight!

And looking forward to it. It will be my third game this year and I agree that the energy level has been much higher than in years past.

The building got dated fast.

But you can feel the warm of the people.

They've been trying to get a TC rennovation included

in the downtown Vikes proposal. With the Vikes likely headed there, things are looking up for a refresh at least.

I am 0-2 attending Wolves games at TC

Jan 24th last year vs Houston and went to the Lakers game couple days ago. And yes, the atmosphere has completely changed, wonder if Ricky Rubio and winning have anything to do with it. On the other hand, maybe I should stop attending games if I want the Wolves to win.

I went

I went to a game this year and it was great. Although I sat in the upper deck, the fans were cheering and the place got LOUD. The only thing that annoyed me was the 121 section were trying to get some cheers going and they were drowned out by the PA system playing music every possession. Less ‘scoreboard telling you to cheer’ and more organic cheers from the fans

"Organic cheers" -- I like it!

We should go for “free range” and “full frontal” also

They were drowning us out.

Last night however, they backed off.
Its a balance and it seems like they are getting it figured out.

Very nice energy this year

I would echo the sentiment that they need to tone down the music/sound effects during the game. But then, a group of girls that was sitting behind me last game got super pumped whenever they played a random pop song, so maybe they’re trying to hit different demographics with their annoying songs.

If I'm pissing you off its probably sarcasm

Have they finally moved on from the 80s?

I feel like I hear more Bon Jovi visiting the TC than I can stomach.

I wonder if i could get a single game ticket in section 121 because i agree, that is the place to be at!
