Barea will play tonight vs Pacers
J.J. Barea claims his ankle is fine and is cleared to play tonight against the Pacers. I do believe this means they'll have to leave a guy off the roster; unless Darko is still "sick". If Darko is ready to go, is Miller going to get scratched?
Full strength baby!
MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Timberwolves point guard J.J. Barea says he'll be back on the court against Indiana.
Barea said before the Timberwolves played the Pacers Wednesday that his sprained left ankle is "good to go."
He has missed 10 of the past 11 games and appeared in only six of 21 games this season. He previously had a strained left hamstring.
Barea is backing up Ricky Rubio and Luke Ridnour in his first season with Minnesota after winning the NBA title with Dallas last year.
Barea says he'll probably be limited to six- or seven-minute stretches and if he gets tired he'll simply ask for a sub.
The Timberwolves are a lot healthier than they were a few weeks ago. Michael Beasley andMartell Webster also recently returned from injuries.

Sweet
That gives Rubio the ability to sit for a few minutes every quarter =)
Awesome news
Probably more happy about him coming back vs. any of the others. Although if Beasley keeps at it, who knows.
Adelman needs to make another move with the starting lineup. Either Ridnour, Darko, and/or Wes need to go to the bench.
My preference? Darko-Love-Beasley-Webster-Rubio to start, with JJ and Pek used very quickly off the bench.
Ridnour/Barea
I don’t see how both can stay. They are players who need/deserve minutes, and Rubio needs to play near 40 a game for them to win. I’m not convinced that Rubio and Barea can play well together, Rubio should be the one with the ball.

They can stay
so long as we don’t have a shooting guard. Once we get one, and Lee comes back, then I think one will be expendable. Which is sad, cause I really like both players.
This should be a big boost going forward
Rubio needs more rest and JJ should bring a scoring spark that can help limit the scoring droughts when Ricky sits. I would like to see JJ (healthy) putting in about 24 minutes a game split between the point and the 2.
Other thing about JJ...
He’s a scoring spark and helps Rubio rest..these are both very important. The other thing I love about JJ: he has hustle, heart, and veteran leadership. On the Mavericks team last year, he brought something to the table that wasn’t reflected in the box score. His teammates and the crowd loved him. Whenever he hit a 3, the crowd went wild! Glad to have him on the team.
Was this supposed to say JJ will play FOR the Pacers?

I've said this before....
JJ has a tendancy to definitely be a ball hog. Overdribble and look for his own shot. He was such a good shooter that was always somewhat overlooked. But against the Pacers it was glaring in how much it seemed to take us out of the game.
"But this one goes to eleven..."
