Simmons on Love/Rubio:
"Anyone who voted for Griffin over Love needs to start watching League Pass instead of SportsCenter highlights; Love has been the best power forward in either conference, and by the way, haven't we all wanted to step on Luis Scola's face at least once? ""Having an NBA All-Star Game without Ricky Rubio is like having a hot dog without mustard or ketchup. It can't happen again. Let's make this the last time. Please."

he's 100% right
And I have to give him credit for owning up and embracing the unicorn so fully.
But he needs to address the Rubio-is-never-coming-here bet.
I'm going to brag. I drive the Nikola Pekovic fanwagon.

Woah woah woah woah woah...
Simmons has definitely not “owned up”. He has started praising Love and Rubio and even the Wolves as a team once in a while, but he has never really owned his extremely defamatory and declarative statements that have since been proved wildly wrong and childish.
If Simmons ever truly owns up I will be very very surprised. He is a teenager that never grew up.

he was right about Love and Kahn, and is now praising Rubio
perhaps you’d like an even bigger ‘i was wrong’ about Rubio?
He has always loved our team
I mean, we gave his team KG.
Plus he has known how good Love is and he loves giving Kahn so much crap. I think the Wolves are like his little brother to the Celtics.
Blake is a gimmick
Yes he is playing well, but ever since the stupid jump over the car slamdunk and all the following commercials dealing with the same thing I think people have starte overrating him.
Maybe not be much, but he is not the best power forward in the nba for sure.
Nobody read the fine print either
Simmons never actually bet that he would drive to Minny. From his article:
In fact, I thought about making Kahn the following bet: If Ricky Rubio plays even one minute for the Timberwolves, I will drive from Los Angeles to Minnesota for his first game while wearing a T-wolves jersey that says “KAHN” on the front and “No. 1” on the back. (It’s an 1,835-mile trip. I looked it up.) But I don’t want to root for the T-Wolves fans to lose Rubio; they’ve suffered enough. I hope I am wrong. I don’t think I am.
Thought about making the bet. Let’s face it, if Simmons wants to make a bad bet, he’ll do it. Been making bad NFL bets his whole life. He conveniently said I thought about at the beginning.
I like your nurses uniform guy. ...They're OR scrubs. Oh are they?
