I HATE when I can’t watch a game on broadband because the game is televised on the NBA channel. It is incredibly frustrating because it means you have to have cable as well, and you have to be home to watch the game.

the defensive liability that Ridnour is is profound. Plus he has been shooting like shit of late.
He provides shooting and ball handling
Ridnour could give us that (worse shooting) but has the same problems on D. I’d be ok with some Ellington but really we don’t have any good options there

He's just not a good shooter. His one year at Cuse looks like an outlier.
He wasn;t a particularly good shooter in HS or at Iowa State, and he’s been brutal going on 2 years in the NBA.

alright.. my Rubio nightmare is now manifesting..
I have been saying for some time teams would figure him out and just play the passing lanes. This is the reason I felt he had to take more shots because he needs to keep the defense honest. You saw it in the Memphis game and now today.. teams are neutralizing him by simply playing the passing lanes.
Ricky is smart, he wil adapt.
What you can’t do is try to make Ricky a SG or play off the ball, it will not work.

I don't think it's solely that
The Wolves are shooting 28.4% right now. All other Wolves except Pek account for exactly one made basket. This is not about teams figuring out how to play Rubio’s passing lanes. This is about the Wolves shooting like Wes Johnson, collectively, as a team. If we were shooting .400 this would be a completely different game, and one might even argue that the Mavs are risking being exposed because they’re all looking around constantly on defense, and a pass moves faster than a head trying to find the ball.

I get what you’re saying, but I think this isn’t on Rubio. Ya, maybe teams are playing his lanes more. But then again when the other four guys are ice cold teams are willing to gamble a bit more. If you know Love is feeling it, or Barea, then lanes open up a little because you have to account for those guys.

On South Korean Army posts they don’t want you to flush toilet paper, instead they prefer you put the used toilet paper in a green bin sitting on the floor. Reason being, they empty the septic tank and use it to fertilize their rice paddies – and they don’t want toilet paper all over the fields apparently.

This is not just South Korean Army posts.
When I was in China all the dorms had this rule. And lots of places in Malaysia and the Philippines do this. Pretty common in asian countries as a rule.
But they don’t do it for fertilizer. When I have seen it it was just because the pipes couldn’t handle very much and they would get backed up super easy. A lot of American students come in and just flush that stuff and get sewage all over their floors.
That is interesting, their plumbing can't handle a punch
The South Koreans did this specifically for fertilization purposes.
Learning about other cultures is very interesting, sometimes confusing and sometimes chaotic. Once, we came upon a “farm” that had a bunch of dogs running around in a small fenced in area. The locals explained to us that these dogs were basically being used as cattle and would soon be slaughtered for meat. I kinda went berserk (I love dogs and have a soft spot for them), was eventually restrained and thrown into our 15 passenger van. Not my finest hour but this illustrates how cultures can be so different.

That was terrible.
Wolves kept teasing with comebacks in the 2nd half only to start turning it over again. Not going to win many games with 28 turnovers.
Refs seemed to pretty much swallow their whistles for everything going on in the paint. Kevin was just getting beat up.
At least we showed some more fight in the 2nd half, but that was just awful. Adelman sounded pissed about the inability to take care of the ball in his postgame press conference.

Prior to this I’ve been cheering for him to show improvement in games so the Wolves might get something, anything, for him. Now I just don’t want to watch him put the team in a ten point hole before the opening tap. I screamed at the TV four times to get him the hell out of there. Then he goes to the bench and flashes that grin and laughs all the while the team is scraping its way back or while the team is losing period.

Not many good things to say about this one. We kept fighting back long past last year’s team would have packed it in.
But when you have 7 guys with at least 3 TOs, you can expect to win.
Would like to see more Wayne. Seems to me he’s at least as deserving of minutes as Ridnour, Webster and Barea.

The NY game
should provide some interesting match-ups, most notably Ricky and Lin. I’m eager to see whether or not (no, make that how much) Rubio’s defense bothers Lin’s ball handling. Jeremy has a clear advantage (so far at least) with a very effective outside shot, but if Ricky can disrupt penetration, it will help the cause a lot. Chandler v Love/Pek inside will also be important. Foul him out and NY’s whole defensive scheme changes. Hate to say it but I didn’t think we’d win this Dallas game, they were hot and Dirk was due. Feel a lot better about NY. Back to .500!
