Gerald Green?
Not the smartest player ever, but I could see him as an interesting running mate with Rubio. Worth a look?
Gerald Green is NBA D-League Performer of Week.
After a side sojourn to China, the 2005 first-round pick of the Boston Celtics is now toiling in the D-League, where he is trying to resuscitate his career by proving he can do more than dunk. And he’s getting there.
Green was named D-League Performer of the Week on Monday after leading the Los Angeles D-Fenders to a 4-0 week with a pair of 30-point games. He averaged 27.3 points and 6.5 rebounds, shooting 54 percent from the field.
Among qualified players, Green is fifth in the D-League in scoring at 19.6 points and third in 3-point percentage at .477. He also is averaging 4.8 rebounds and shooting 49 percent from the field.

Yeow.
Those were not the results I was anticipating. Wing exasperation/desperation is reaching an all-time high.
That plus
He has played well in the DLeague. Better than Lee during his injury rehab.

That's how bad our SGs are...
Green at least has the size, and we know he can run, jump and dunk. He can even dribble the ball – which puts him ahead of Wes and Martel.
If he’s really improved his jumper, he’d be worth the game.
Yes....
I was one of the few that hated to see him leave. He is an incredible athlete and with the right situation, he could live up too his hype. I hadn’t heard about him in a while, but knew he was in the Lakers training camp prior to the season..
Still only 26 years-old as well.
Couldn’t hurt to try. He has to be better than anything we can put out there at SG.
Agree

He would definitely be “worth a look.”
We can’t really determine much more than that until he actually gets back in the league. Don’t know if anyone has tried to do a conversion similar to college or Euro, but I doubt the d-league is very easy to translate.
I only ever want the Wolves to draft 5th.

I voted "yes" mostly as a statement of my opposition to the status quo
You could replace Gerald Green with “banana sandwich” and my vote might have been the same.

Lakers worked out Gilbert Arenas
why not bring Green in for a workout? Status quo isn’t working at SG.
They want to replace Kobe now?
They worked out Arenas to play PG (or “combo guard” next to Kobe in the backcourt).
They aren’t looking for a SG, that’s why they’ve also been linked to Sessions.
I meant
status quo at SG isn’t working for the Wolves. I brought up the Lakers to make the point that if there is a deficiency, best to explore all avenues.

Only if he comes with enough cupcakes for everyone.
Loved that dunk so much.

I think I get ripped way too much
for overvaluing players.
I don't know what an art house is, I don't know what goes on in an art house, I have never been in an art house, and I can't imagine it's any place I ever want to be.
Playing with Rubio and Love would mask his questionable BBIQ.
I say, why not, give him a chance. After tonight’s game against Orlando, I’m convinced that we could pull at least 5 different wings out of the D-League tomorrow and get a better effort (not necessarily performance, but you know) than we get out of Wes Joh(nny)son.

Well played, sir...
I guess I’d go with Beast is playing out of position – he’s not a wing and no amount of weight loss is ever going to make him a wing. But that’s a worthy point…

It's Coming Dad......
Alley-Oops from the Unicorn and dishes from K. Love. It’s what we always talked on the phone when you called me (collect) from Krasnodar and Samara and Foshon. You’re coming back home to the place you never should have left behind.
It’s like Jeremy Lin but different in that it’s very likely that you won’t even have a modicum of success that he’s had with the Knicks, but who gives a damn…
You’re coming home!!

We already have Gerald Green.
His name is Wes Johnson. In truth I’d rather send Wes to the D-League and bring up Green.
I would do both
10 day contracts aren’t exactly expensive.
Agreed. Wes needs more playing time to work on his game
But we cannot give him 4th quarter minutes in the NBA, so he can straighten things out in the D-league. Wes needs some adversity to strengthen his game and the D-league should give him that.
Gerald Green is one of the worst defenders I have ever seen, but since we are currently playing Beasley, Ridnour and Martell on the wing, I cannot see a major drop-off on defense coming and if he can hit 40% of his 3s and throw down alley-oops consistently(pretty sure he can do this), I’m all for giving it a shot.

I don't think playing time is going to help Wes.
His one year at Syracuse is the only time he’s shown the ability to shoot the ball in his career. Its looking more and more like an outlier. He’s just not an NBA player. He doesn’t appear to have the drive or mental toughness. And while he has the body and athletic ability, he just doesn’t have the skills.

No, no, no, no.
I think this is the first time in history one man managed to destroy an entire city by himself. Even the Enola Gay had a flight crew.
He is long and athletic
How is his handshake and smile?
He's Ricky Rubio. He’s not like anyone else.
