I really hate listening to Hanny..
his inflection is off, his phrases are juvenile and often misplaced, he offers no basketball analysis of worth (not his job I know), his hyperbole is tiresome, etc.
He's used it ever since the begaining.

When I was a teenager...
I got thrown into detox. They were bringing people in who were drinking Lysol all evening. Kind of a spooky place to be when you are young and stupid.

When I was in Navy Basic Electricity and Electronics school in Orlando I knew a bunch of underage guys who would “go Ro-boatin’.” They’d chug a bottle of Robitussin DM (25% alcohol) and hallucinate for the next eight hours.

Kevin Love is better at basketball than all the players on the Bobcats.
There are many factors that lead to a good basketball player. Good basketball players should score points, and Kevin Love scores points more than the Bobcats players. It’s two points when you make a shot inside the curved line. It’s three points when you make a shot outside the curved line. It’s one point when you make a shot from the straight line. To shoot those shots, the other team has to cheat first. Kevin Love makes more of all those shots than the Bobcats players.
When players miss shots, you can get rebounds, which is when you catch the ball after they miss. Kevin Love makes lots of rebounds when his team misses shots. Those are called offensive rebounds. He gets a lot of rebounds when the other team misses shots. Those are called defensive rebounds.
Those are the reasons why Kevin Love is better at basketball than the Bobcats players.

i hate that 2 guard lineup so much, but ridnour barea is just the worst, i don’t get why you would practice it when you know it won’t work against decent teams

I really didn't expect to see him break out like this.
I was at the last CH night and got to sit in on a Kahnversaton. I asked about Pek, and what he said was actually exactly what we’ve gotten from him. Amazing strength, great ability to finish at the basket.

CH Night was the last official CH game
a number of us went to two years ago. Before the PDGirl incident, when Kahn was still uncomfortably forthright with fans. I suspect because he didn’t really understand what CH was. We all had seats in one section and before the game, spent an hour listening to Kahn schpeel before doing question and answer.

actually looks pretty astute if he figured it would take a year for Pek to adjust (and for better PG play)

I didn't know until the other CJ mentioned it
but apparently, Pek had an early season groin injury that was holding him out of games.
Kahn gushed and Pek, though (he’s prone to such — “You’re gonna love Jonny Flynn”) about his Adonis-like physique and his ability to finish at the basket.
All of this was near the end of season one of the Kahn reign and before I learned to distrust and dislike him so intensely, pre-windows of opportunity, pre-singular move, pre-show of hands.

But over the last few games I have seen, his shot just doesn’t look good to my eyeballs.

For this year, at least.
I am definitely not the Professor X of basketball, but I see alot of good things in the kid. Good(not elite) athleticism, a variety of moves in Iso situations, and decent range on the jump shot. He’s also a pretty good rebounder, and a better defender (especially down low) than he’s given credit for. So, yeah. I like the kid quite a bit. Not to mention, how he got to where he is. By all accounts, alot of hard work.

Pretty sure his value was never higher than the 15 minutes before he was drafted.
And apparently, the phones didn’t ring with a deal to which Kahn couldn’t say no. It was pretty much a 1 player draft.

I’d bet it has more to do with consistent output. RA can count on KLove, NPek, mostly RRubio, and not much else…
DWill has to show some consistent skill to earn playing time.

how do you expect a 20 year old rookie to play consistently without giving him consistent minutes?
I know it might seem to some like I harp on this point, but 9 minutes one night and 25 the next leads to rustiness and forced play due to the feeling of having to produce if he’s going to stay out there
and again for as "inconsistent’ and “labored” as Williams may be looking right now he’d be a better 3 than Wes Johnson

In other news involving NBA big men, a source said Wednesday that Minnesota continues to pursue a possible trade for Lakers forward Pau Gasol, dangling rookie Derrick Williams, who is from the Los Angeles area, and draft choices. The only players considered untouchable by the Timberwolves, who are seeking to add a veteran by the trade deadline, are Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio. The Timberwolves believe it could be enticing for Gasol to play on the same team as fellow Spaniard Rubio.

That’s not a squad about to win a championship. Of all the old teams in the West, their roster looks the worst to me. It makes more sense to bring in proven vets, but maybe Mitch recognizes the need to add young talent.

Motorhead is just Motorhead. That’s it. And Lemmy is Lemmy. Hysterically funny. All four bands kicked ass, but I think, in an historical sense, I’ll appreciate the Motorhead set more than the others. That was epic.

I was 6 in 1976.
And I asked for a KISS album, and I wanted Destroyer, but I wasn’t savvy enough to understand that there was more than one, so I got the self-titled debut. To this day I think it was their best recording.

Has Lacuna Coil been releasing any new stuff lately? I haven’t heard anything from them since 2002-ish when I was big into Nightwish.

they’ve done three albums. 2002 was the big year with Comalies, but Karmacode was pretty big. I haven’t paid too much attention to the two after that, but the show was awesome.
Plus, having LC on the bill means that when Megadeth plays “A Tout le Monde” they can have Cristina Scabbia on stage every night. It was really epic.

They were simply outmatched by the Yankees every year. Also, Gardy consistently has lost in the playoffs over and over and over but there is never a thread to his job security.

Wallace is old and has a player option.
Crawford hasn’t had a very good season. I’d LOVE to see Mr. Adelman get his hands on Batum, though.

I want to see Crash succeeding like a mofo
because when he exercises his player option, it makes it very unlikely they Blazers can re-sign Batum without diving deep, deep, deep into the cap threshold.

I'm not certain it will go down like that
but man, it would really put the Wolves in a good position to chase an RFA.
Batum has serious talent
And now he is pissed about his insult offer from the Blazers. He’s playing well since.
His value is going up by the second.
I still think 4/$44 is the right price
to both be fair to him and to get Portland to not match.
