I'm curious, Canis Hoopers, if it's possible, if not probable, that Kahn might try and move Derrick Williams to a team selecting in the top 5 of the lottery in a package with Wesley Johnson, and the pick owed to Minnesota by Utah (and/or the Wolves' own 2013 #1 pick)? Would that be enough for the Wolves to acquire a lottery pick that would be lofty enough to procure the rights to select a wing player such as Harrison Barnes, Bradley Beal, or Jeremy Lamb? If not, what else might the team have to add to a package that would net them such a pick?
If Kahn were able to make such a move, would you do it? Harrison Barnes might not be Kobe, or even Ray Allen for that matter... but if he were develop into a better shooting Luol Deng; capable of handling the ball, shooting from the outside, driving to the rim; and being an adequate wing defender.... might that be enough to warrant such a move? In addition to using the midlevel exception on a veteran shooting guard/small forward; I have to believe that on a team with Rubio, Love, and Pekovic, a player with the upside of Barnes, Beal, or Lamb might (even in the short term) would help Minnesota make the jump from being a team contending for a playoff spot to a team contending for the 4th or 5th seed.
