Wes Johnson 4 DUNK CONTEST?
Could do wonders for his confidence issues and tentativeness around the rim. Also boost trade value.
via i.cdn.turner.com
"The explosiveness he shows is unmistakable despite the late hour and the fact that his body is running on nothing but adrenaline at this point. Some of the dunks he pulls off are incredibly impressive. He glides through the air with the body control of a 6-2 guard, despite measuring out the previous day at 6-7 ¼ in shoes with a 7-1 wingspan (ideal size for an NBA wing)".

You can't coach size
and Wes is ideal!

I agree...
I hope he is invited to participate because it might help his confidence in finishing around the rim. He needs something to bring out aggressiveness.
Sure, why not. Worked for Gerald Green.

I hope not
His dunks always feel week. Like he somehow mixed a layup with a dunk.
Maybe its his lanky frame?
If I'm pissing you off its probably sarcasm
Wes can get up there and dunk
he just doesn’t do it much.
Maybe it'll just get him to have some fun
it’s amazing what having fun at work can do to your confidence
I don't know what an art house is, I don't know what goes on in an art house, I have never been in an art house, and I can't imagine it's any place I ever want to be.
Dunks = Talent
That’s why Blake Griffin is the best Power Forward in the league.

He's not the most creative dunker
So I don’t think he’d fare well.
The contest was fixed though

And
I don’t think Wes working on trying to become a creative dunker would be a good thing. I’d put that up there with Darko working on a right handed hook, and Beas working on super long hesitation mind tricks.

He should do it now...
because he won’t be in the league very long.

I dont think Wes would do well at all in a dunk contest. I think it would kill his confidence even further.
jump ball king
Anyone who can win a jump ball against someone who is 7 inches taller and has a wingspan 7 inches wider should at least deserve consideration.
I’m super upset a video of that epic jump ball doesn’t exist yet.

Im not saying he shouldnt be in it.
Im just worried Wes under the biggest spotlight is not going to do well at all. Wes doesnt seem to do so well under pressure especially with his confidence this low, and Im inclined to think Wes is going to have a tough time executing dunks while every one is watching and talking about him.
handled rookie game fairly well last year.
I think he’d thrive in dunk contest. Its just whether he has a variety of drunks to use. Think he’d have fun with it. May loosen him up.

This is maybe the meanest thing I've ever said about Wes
but he should enter the contest because there’s always the chance he might injure himself, forcing Adelman to start Webster (who needs the minutes to get his game back on).
Yo ho ho and a FirstRow stream!

I've been toying
For about a week with asking how come Wes never gets hurt (Where’s the Wolves fabled sophomore curse when you need it?) but i just didn’t have the balls. I was trying to determine what kind of moral or ethical correctness i would feel guilty of having violated every time I saw the crutches and the heavily wrapped knee (and that smile.)
