Calling all Canis Hoopus dad's - help a brother out!

First time posting anything other than a comment here, so if I somehow break some sort of rule (written or unwritten) my apologies - it's due to clueless, nothing more.

So I'm taking my 4 year old daughter to her first Wolves game next Wednesday the 15th and have been trying to find her a Wolves shirt to wear. I've literally gone to 5 stores (Target, Dicks Sporting Goods, JC Penny, Kohls, Macys) and they have NOTHING available. You can find overpriced newborn baby stuff and stuff for "youth" but nothing for younger kids. So the reasons for my post - any of you dads (or people with younger kids in your life) have advice on where to find just a simple Wolves t-shirt for a 4-5 year old? I don't want to spend $50 on some replica jersey - just a plain old Wolves logo shirt. Or does anyone have one their kids wore and have outgrown they want to sell?

We found some Wolves T-Shirts at a sporting clothes store

in the Mall of America. Sorry, I don’t remember which one. But it sold exclusively sports team hats, tshirts, jerseys, etc. So if you have an extra hour or two before the game, hit the MoA. As a bonus you can take your daughter on a few rides there.

Another option is the team shops within the Target Center. They have lots of apparel.

Thanks for the tips Wile E – I don’t know how I didn’t think about the glaringly obvious shops at the Target Center.

Plus I’m sure she would think it is pretty special to get some gear at the actual game.

The kids stuff

at Target center is actually fairly reasonable given the location. I’m remembering 4T jerseys/ t-shirts in the $20 range.

if you're willing to make the rounds

I had good luck at local thrift stores. She might be wearing a Love or Starbury jersey, but at least she’ll be in Timberwolves Blue. Best bets are Unique Thrift Stores in St. Anthony or New Hope. Value Village (multiple locations – Richfield, Brooklyn Center…) are also possibilities.

You’ll be looking at $3 or so for the shirt.

Old Navy has a nice kids' Wolves t-shirt online for $15.

If you ordered today, you’d probably get it in time. There’s a link for their NBA stuff in the toddler boys’ clothes section (but the shirt would work for a little girl as well).

I had to spring for a Rubio jersey for my 5-year old before we went to a game last month. Totally worth it based on how much he loved it. :) My sister bought her 2-year old a jersey at the Target Center, and I am pretty sure the toddler sizes were $30.

I’d also try the Official timberwolves store that is outside of the main lobby area at the Target Center where all the pregame festivities are held. I bought a shirt there and it was reasonable only $15. Might not have enough time but you could also check out ebay and amazon if you haven’t already.

If you work downtown...

or can get there…theres a sporting goods store in the northstar building (or right around it) that has alot of wolves gear.
