2/10 Dallas -2 at Wolves
Who is the TOP Wolves prognosticator against the spread ? There's so much knowledge here so PICK how the Wolves do against the spread and give your reasoning. "The urge to gamble is so universal, and its practice so pleasurable that I assume it must be evil" "If I lose today, I can look forward to winning tomorrow, and if I win today, I can expect to lose tomorrow. A sure thing is no fun." – Chico Marx ....
Canis Hoopus POLL CONSENSUS RECORD 17 - 8 (WOW)....A very impressive record after getting a gift win in the Memphis game. I couldn't understand why Memphis left their starters in after the Wolves gave up and emptied the bench. Fortunately, the reserves came through and got it down to five. Lets keep the streak going with the game against Dallas......

Wolves
Wolves have played well against Dallas and should wake up after the Memphis game and pull out a win…..
17 – 8
I'm taking the wolves to bounce back here
Love goes for 30
Wolves +2!
Love returns, a day of rest, and we’ve played Dallas well this year. Also, I think I saw on Twitter that Darko will be ready (it’s good to have options).
I'm going to brag. I drive the Nikola Pekovic fanwagon.
How much more effective would our frontcourt be if we could
keep Love at the four? Maybe there are times when Love at center creates an exploitable mismatch, but for the most part I’d be happy if we could count on Pek for 33-35 minutes a night and Darko for 13-15 minutes (shifting depending on matchups)? Pek’s kept his fouls down and he seems in pretty solid condition.
Love acquits himself fairly well in his time at the five, but it seems to me he’ll take less of a beating if he doesn’t have to deal with it.

I'd rather see KLove go for 15 and 10
and see the rest of the squad step up and stick it to the Mavs. Love’s got it together, it’s those other guys I worry about.
Yo ho ho and a FirstRow stream!
Wolves and the points
2-0
I've got good judgement from experience and experience from bad judgement.
This one is tough
I’ll take Pups to go 3-0 against “world” champs.

Got to be the Wolves (3-7)
If Pek gets Haywood in foul trouble, he’s going for a big night eating their backup big men alive.

I'm guessing the Mavs Win
I’m always a fan of when reasonably even teams meet (Mavs are probably slightly better) and one team has won twice. I pick the other team a 3rd time.

Stupid Questions
I am not really good with the spread system…
What does the +2 or -2 mean?
I've got it, folks!
Dallas -2 means Dallas is favored by two points, such that if you bet on Dallas, you’d have to subtract two from their score at the end. If one team is favored by two, the other team is favored to lose by two. So betting on Wolves +2 means you take the Wolves total points at the end and add 2. When you say Dallas -2 or Wolves +2, you are indicating which side you want and clarifying what the amount of points you will have to subtract or get to add. Note you can’t subtract two from Dallas AND add two to Minnesota.
On Tuesday Minnesota was favored to beat Sac by seven points, so people would have said Wolves -7 if they thought the Wolves would win by more than seven.

And the number (two, in this case) comes from Las Vegas
You can’t choose your own number. The original poster will take the first number he probably sees published from Vegas and uses that.

Point Spread Definition......
A point spread is used in sports betting to even the odds between two unevenly matched teams. Each team is given a point total by the oddsmaker that can either be added or subtracted to the final score
Example:
Dallas – 2
Wolves +2
(-) before the 2 indicates that Dallas is the point spread favorites. The (+) indicates that the Wolves are the point spread underdogs.
If one bets on Dallas, then Dallas has to win by a total of 3 points or bettor to win. If one picks the Wolves, the Wolves would have to win outright or lose by 1 point for a win. A 2 point victory by the Dallas would equal a push or tie.
That's pretty good.
Perhaps include that in the posts from now on? Maybe we can get more people involved!
