%serpositivo - Wolves@Kings

An absolute disaster. Spin it how you like, but the loss of Rubio has now been incontrovertibly proven to have killed the season. Simply put, his defending was absolutely essential. Any point guard can now walk down the lane and go past the inept shotblocking at the Wolf rim, and that's not a recipe for anything other than a massive fallen soufflé of failure and regret. Kings hit a lot of jumpshots, but the D from the point of attack to the help was reprehensible from the Wolves tonight, and the turnovers didn't help much. The absolute nadir was a tense moment between Love and Barea, which is exactly what we don't need happening in this slow motion car crash of a road trip. Worst game since Charlotte last year. Notable Numbers next.

MIN -less points than SAC. So who the hell cares otherwise?

Grades

Love: F

Hopeless tonight despite his double double. It's fine for him to shoot threes, in my opinion, but he can't be as LAZY about it as he was during this game. Fighting with our backup pg is moronic and a nightmare to see. Oh, and get your hands up on D for god's sake.

Darko: Good lord, what the **** is inhabiting his body

Just don't even think about him.

Randolph: C

Stats not too bad, but his bonehead plays are too annoying to give him anything higher. 10 and 9 or something acceptable most nights.

Wes: F

1-6 shooting. A couple of good passes here and there, but if he could score the basketball and actually defend like he's supposedly able to things might improve.

Luke: F

Only two assists and five turnovers. Woeful. Not rescued by his occasional hustle transition D from his incredibly awful at the point of defense work tonight.

JJB: F

Getting very tiresome, I'm afraid. Just distribute, and try not to shoot contested shots ever please.

Webster: C

Not good not bad. Scored ok - D, like everyone else, a ****ing disaster area.

DWill - B-

Sole bright spot with some good shots and tough rebounding. Still too slow to react and move defensively.

Beasley - grade Beasley

I don't think you can rate Mike on normal scales. He just plays his games and sometimes -usually - it sucks. For three minutes in the first half he was hitting contested 22 footers. Yay. Then he passed up an open gimme to force a turnover to Love double covered under the rim. Smart. Real Smart.

Well that was a complete load of crap. Go Wolves.
