Williams has been playing some bad basketball as of late, so continuing to suggest he is a starting caliber SF when he might not even be a starting caliber PF right now is a bit of a stretch of an argument, but it's a slow day for Wolves talkers and I might as well get something going see what people think.
Wally Sczerbiak: 6-7 244 pounds played 6 season of +.120 WS/48 SF basketball in the NBA before injuries started to take their toll. (Williams is listed as 6-8 241)
Wally was an incredible shooter as noted by a few season of over 40% three point shooting which at the current momment appears like a tall task for Williams to climb....however 3pt% is a stat that is proven that players often get better at (my assumption is because they have to adjust to the farther back line) and Williams is a much superior athlete and ball handler than Wally ever was.
Just something too consider. I think the logical counter is that "if Williams can shoot 50/40/80 then we'll all shut up" consider the incredibly efficient way Wally scored during his time here making up for his defensive, athletic, ball handling capabilities.
Also Doron Lamb is really good at basketball. He gets over shadowed by the rest of his team but that could completely work to our advantage if he falls to us in the draft with the Utah pick.
