After getting my butt handed to me for the better part of the day attempting persuade anyone Austin Rivers would be a better NBA player than Jae Crowder, I propose a simple poll question: Who will be the better NBA Player Jae or Austin?
Jae was a Marquette forward who, as mentioned in most CH posts, has very strong advanced statistics (very efficient and I think the term is does ****). Draw backs may included a true position in the NBA and age.
Austin was a Duke SG who is a plus ball-handler that gets to the line at a high rate. He is young and has a relatively defined NBA position, but has poor advanced statistics.
Both acquired a lot of hardware in the NCAA last season. Jae was the Big East Player of the Year and First Team All Big East. Austin was the ACC Rookie of the Year and First Team All ACC
Both had fathers that played NBA Basketball. Everyone knows Doc but if you have an extra minute or two the Crowder background is a good read.
