Hello, good people. Last night's Celtics Heat game was an absolute thriller that had everyone on the edge of their seats. However, all anyone can talk about is the officiating. I want to know what you guys think of the referees in the NBA - do they do a good job, could they do better, and if so, how could they improve? Keep in mind last night was just one game, I want to know what you think of the officiating as a whole.
Here are a few of the twitter reactions from last night's game.
"Game turned on missed foul call, Wade on Rondo. Raked him across his face! Just have a feeling Celts win if Rondo shoots those FTs for lead."
- Skip Bayless
"My twit fam upset with zebras late in Celtics - Heat game - have legit gripe on no call on Wade vs Rondo - a big miss as Rondo WAS FOULED!"
- Dick Vitale
" "Let's fix a series so the team in the biggest market left gets eliminated." - The NBA, according to the Internet. What a world."
- Jared Dubin
"Citing personal foul and free throw attempt numbers without any context is pretty worthless."
- Our very own Tim Allen!
"BTW, the Heat should trade Bosh for one of those refs"
- Myles Brown
"You can't win 5 against 8. This game is one of the all-time jokes. I am so disgusted by this game and the league as a whole."
- Bill Simmons
And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this classic quote from Mr Basketball himself... one-time MVP, one-time NBA Champion, one-time Defensive Player of the Year, 14-time All Star, and sure-fire Hall of Famer...
"KG is another one who lacks the #clutchgene always has!"
- Wally "Big Shot" Szczerbiak
I may have got the accolades slightly wrong on that one...
So what do you all think? Feel free to voice your opinions in the comments!
