Finally, a move to improve our wing play

In 2010 2012, the Wolves traded the 16th 18th pick for Martell Webster Chase Budinger. Webster Budinger is 23 years old and was mostly coming off the bench for the Blazers Rockets. He averaged 24.5 22.4 minutes per game last season.

Webster Budinger is going to improve our wing play, even if he is only a league-average player. After what we've been watching, his WS/48 of 0.105 0.111, WP/48 of 0.094 0.133, and TS% of 0.543 0.556 look pretty good. Plus, he can hit some threes to open things up.

Webster Budinger has good size for an NBA small forward, measuring 6'7" in shoes. He's not the best defender yet, but he does average 0.5 steals per game and his offensive rating is three points higher than his defensive rating, so he'll be adding value when he's on the court. I like that he has a positive value for adjusted +/-, even if the value isn't statistically significant.

I'm really looking forward to what Webster Budinger will do with Rubio on the court. He seems really athletic and just needs more minutes to blossom into a really good starting wing player. Good move, Wolves. The future looks bright!
