I do not understand! We were willing to sign Batum for around 12-13 million per year, but would be unwilling to pay Deng 11 million (or Iggy, Granger, Rudy, etc). If we had to have room on the books to sign Batum, it means that we have the money to pay someone equivalent money, yes? If we traded away say Derrick or JJ, we could afford a player around 15 million, yes? Am I oversimplifying this or missing something?
