Well, we've all been ranting and raving today over Chad Ford (WWL idiot) and Sam Amico (Pek taunter) and seem to be groupthinking our way into a "we at CH know best about team" mentality. And frankly, I can't argue with that collective assessment. Now comes the following report card over at NBA.com that piles on some more. An overall C grade is delivered with a bit of a thud.

Scott Howard-Cooper describes the Wolves as having "a very thin bench for a team with two pressing injury concerns." Really? I think most around here would concur that our depth is a big plus this year. He goes so far as to rate our bench a D. Wow.

So, are we all too close to the situation to be objective or are the likes of Messrs Cooper, Amico and Ford too far removed to be knowledgeable?

FWIW, I've found comfort in the analysis of Brad Doolittle and Kevin Pelton this offseason, both of whom have provided solid words for the Wolves and have backed up their positions with those oh so evil and clever statistics.

Lastly, Cooper only judged five offseasons worse than the Wolves. And surely to the delight of PoorDick, one of them was Portland's. Two are the implosive Magic and Rockets offseasons.
