Long time lurker, first time poster. I thought it would be fun to review every player who has stepped onto the court wearing a T'Wolves uni, one guy at a time. The leader, KG, played close to twice as many minutes as the second guy on the list (35,535 to 18,394). Who is #2? The answer after the jump, along with a short look at Calvin Booth, who is last on the list.
If you guessed Sam Mitchell is second on the all-time Timberwolves' minutes played list, you are correct. Another note: if Kevin Love plays a full season this year he will likely rise from #10 to #5.
December 3rd, 2008. A day that will live in anonymity. Orlando beat Minnesota 100-89 and Calvin Booth played center for the Wolves.
So, what can we say about Booth's minute as a Wolf? Just about nothing. I certainly don't remember it. He did grab an offensive rebound, which leads me to believe he is the Wolves' all time leader in OR%: 36 per 36. Take that, Pek!
Booth went on that year to play 55 minutes with Sacramento and was then out of "our league" for good, after a respectable 10-year NBA career. He once blocked 10 shots in game. Not bad for a 2nd round draft pick (Wizards).
We got him as a throw-in with Rodney Carney and we used him as a throw-out with Rashard McCants.
Anyone remember that minute? Do tell.
