MIN-SAS Musical Preview: Tex-Mex Edition

The last few times we've played a team whose state we've already previewed, we've headed over the border to the north. This time, lets head south. I'm not especially knowledgeable about Mexican music, though having lived in San Antonio for a year and in Los Angeles currently, I have heard my fair share. Sometimes here I will just choose a random Spanish language station while I am driving and listen to the music.

Of course, the Mexican music covers a lot of genres. The ones I like tend to be more traditional than trendy. Give me trumpets!

Here are a couple of examples of what I mean:

Sadly, a major figure in Mexican music recently died in a plane crash (Jenni Rivera). 18 years ago, another US singer of Mexican music died before her time, murdered by a "fan." Among her more pop-oriented tunes, she also sang more traditional songs:
