MIN-OKC Musical Preview: Carry on, my wayward sons

Tonight's Wolf win over the Hawks swept the blues away, though they can always be found again in Dogpile's excellent preview for the game. Now the team heads to a tough game in Oklahoma tomorrow night. Not much time. musically speaking.

We looked at Okie music three weeks ago when we last played (and beat) the Durants. Let's turn our gaze northward to a state without an NBA team: Kansas.

What are the first things that come to your mind when you think about the Sunflower State and tunes? For me, it's only a couple of things. Of course, it's hard not to think of the band that shares its name with the state. What other cities are there in Kansas? Here are two:

Then I did a little research and found that this is the State Song of Kansas:

Time is short. Lay it on me. Your death metal, your bebop jazz, your old time string bands, your manic pixie hipster chic alternative rock, your pop, funk, ambient, and more. Just make it Kansas.
