OK, I know this is incredibly early and has a small percentage chance of happening, but let's imagine for a moment the following: aa "straight up" trade of DWill for Evan Turner. This has been conjectured on and off over the years and is being talked about again. What would this move do to the team and the roster?

It seems to me that the roster would end up looking like this:

PG: Rubio, JJ, Price or Shved

SG: KMart, Turner, Shved or Jeffers

SF: Brewer, Bud, Shabazz

PF: Love, Cunningham, Hummel

C: Pek, Turiaf, Dieng

Additionally, there would be some more financial flexibility next year, but in the process, DWill would be lost for a one year rental at an increased cost. It seems like it would make it more likely that Hummel makes the final roster and less likely that Jeffers makes the team. It would also mean decreased minutes for Shved and Shabazz and increased minutes for Dante. Ultimately, who started at the 3 and backed up the 2 or 3 could be arranged in a number of different ways, with Bud or Turner probably being equally "capable" of starting at the 3.

This is probably the most consistent DWill rumor over the last year or two, so when you see it on paper, what do you think? Do you like the "Evan and Kevin" twins on the roster, or is this not enough return for DWill and what he gives the team?

Who would you rather have on the roster - Evan for 1 year at $6.7 million or DWill for 1 year @ $5 mill, and maybe a second year at $6M+? Of course, it is very likely that any trade would also include additional pieces, but this rumor doesn't go away, so it must be something that is being considered. What do CHers think of the possibility? Inquiring minds want to know . . .
