Timberwolves Hold on for Victory Over the Knicks

Greg Smith-USA TODAY Sports

It got scary there for a bit, but the Wolves hold on after building big lead.

Huge first quarter held up as the Wolves beat the Knicks in Madison Square Garden tonight, 109-100.

The story of the game early was Knicks turnovers and Wolves fast break points, as the Wolves got out in transition consistently for easy baskets.

Things tightened up throughout the game, but the Wolves consistently got to the free throw line, and huge games from Kevin Love and Kevin Martin held the Knicks at bay.

A full recap is coming.

This is your post game thread.

PS-One thing your humble servant learned is we always need a 2nd half game thread. My fault. Won't make that mistake again.
