Dan Barrerio and Jerry Zgoda: No Shabazz Muhammad for Timberwolves

Jerry Lai-US PRESSWIRE

8h

There is a better chance Wolves would re-draft Ndudi Ebi than they will take Shabazz Muhammad in first round

I trust Dan Barrerio to be pretty plugged in so this info is hopefully good. I guess Just A Fan was correct all along.

I have to say that the smokescreens have been pretty good as guys like Chad Ford (and Givony, who has the Wolves taking Shabazz) seemed convinced the Wolves have/had genuine interest in Muhammad. I think Flip calling Bazz a SF was pretty telling after repeatedly saying the Wolves need a SG with size.

EDIT FROM EiM: Let's use this as our draft and etc. thread today.

JerryZ seems to be of the same opinion as Barreiro, that Muhammad is not on their list:

I wouldn't hold your breath on Shabazz

don't believe the ones that have them taking or considering Muhammad, though

Only Darren Wolfson among the local media seems to think Muhammad remains a possibility for the Wolves. Of course, Doogie is often the most plugged in guy, so we'll see.,

Zgoda also quotes Flip that he thinks Rubio and McCollum can play together.

Anyway, this is an open thread. Wanted to get something up for Wednesday morning.

Be open.
