A football story, to be sure, but pro sports are pro sports are pro sports:
In 2012, the NFL gave only $2.3 million to charity and virtually all of that went to the NFL Hall of Fame. In the meantime, it gave NFL commissioner Roger Goodell $29.5 million for what many consider the greatest – and easiest — job in the world. Through creative bookkeeping, the NFL is also claiming to be actually in the red by some $316 million.
Is there ever a point at which enough is enough? Nah, of course not.
And in other news of critical importance:
Eating better (labeled as a rip on Paleo, but only if you accept their definition of Paleo)
The kind of thinking that gets NBA players fined for flopping while David Stern leaves the League a free man
Hang Time's Morning Shootaround
And for the cooking crowd, seasoning a cast iron skillet (with science!)

This is what I used to do every morning, every day, and at much greater length. Having just spent twenty minutes coming up with these questionable links (this is a basketball blog), I have to say I haven't missed doing this at all.
New billing cycle starts today so I'll be glued to the screen tomorrow night. Go Wolves! Beat [Fill in the blank]!

Done shoveling snow, tired of reading, bored out of my skull Sunday afternoon update:
Early European man looked like . . . Ricky Rubio?
Drooling over the new Mac Pro
Is someone a racist? (If you're the someone who wrote that? Yes!)
Topics will vary from home improvement and dentistry to fashion and finance and beyond... (don't ask me why doing a CH post for free is 100x more gratifying than doing 'content' for scumbags for a penny a word) (plus, of course swearing, which you almost never get paid for doing)
Not to be updated, unless, of course, I find myself maynholed up at the computer again.
