Stats signal!

I've never really been into the draft since I don't watch college basketball. My school didn't really have a team (although one year we were able to play the Tar Heels and we were so pumped to lose by forty to their 3rd string ON TELEVISION!) and as much as I love indentured servitude I just couldn't get into it. However during the last few years the great draft analysis done by vjl and md and others has really gotten me interested in the draft.

So the point of this article is to send up the stat signal and ask some questions of our data headed cohorts. I had some questions to ask and I thought if other people had draft stat related questions/comments this would be a good place to do that all in one place which might make reply a little easier.

With the season now half over and most of the marquee rookies having played at least some time I was hoping we could have a sort of 'where are they now' draft follow up article and maybe re-examine some thoughts from before the draft. I also have some specific questions. I was surprised by the emergence Tim Hardaway Jr. and thought "who saw that coming?" After a little googling it turned out no one saw that coming. Why is he out performing his draft stock, or how did he get under valued? Another player a number of systems appear to have missed on was Mike Muscala. A number of stat folks had him ranked pretty highly, one even had him in the top four and was talking about how Muscala was going to burn the league down. That of course has yet to happen. Also I have developed a love of re-drafts and would love a re-draft article to celebrate the season's midway point.

Any one else have any questions or comments? Any surprises or disappointments from you? I've yet to see McCollum play but I've read good things. Feel free to post theories, questions, or comments and hopefully our site's statistical luminaries will give us free entertainment and analysis. If you're having trouble working up the motivation to comment just imagine I proposed an eight team trade for Kevin Love that nets us garbage. For some reason that always seems to work.

it's not letting me preview so hopefully this looks good.
