It is a joke how things have been run these past few years. It is time the Timberwolves need to part ways with Kevin Love and start the rebuilding process. First, I want to go over the supposed offers, and why one of them should of been accepted right off the bat!
So why would the Timberwolves be interested in David Lee. Do you want an older forward who won't help you get anywhere, but make you decent enough to not be involved in the high lottery? Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson for KLove and KMartin would be the deal I'd be looking for, maybe just. Klay and a 1st rounder.
Simply no. The 1st round pick wouldn't be a lottery pick, so it doesn't interest me. Parsons is a good player but not worth trading Love over
Possible Players Involved: Wiggins, Waiters, Thompson
This was the trade that interested me the most. Wiggins will come in early as a top defender and who better to help bring him along offensively than Rubio. Waiters has already shown that he can score, and is an average defender. Thompson gives you a solid 12 and 10 power forward who is still only 23. For the future this seems like the best trade option available to the Wolves and if I were them I'd be calling the Cavs daily to see if it was still available. Right off the bat you would be looking at a solid line up of Rubio, Waiters, Wiggins, Thompson, and Pekovic/Dieng. With Martin as a 6th man and a few solid players off the bench.
