Sacremento trade rumors

Hopefully this post goes better than my last rumor post regarding the dwanye Wade signing and the salary dumps that followed didn't work out, as everything played out in real life in less than an hour after the post.

So, the rumor is the Kings are looking to offload Rudy Gay, Kosta Koufos, and Ben Macklemore. I didn't see anything on what they are looking for in return, so I'm assuming it's a salary dump. We could afford to absorb Gay by himself, or the combination of Koufos and Macklemore as a package. We would have to waive Payne in that case to get down to 15 players on the roster.

What I would prefer though, is to acquire all 3 for Nikola Pekovic and Adrian Payne. This would open up 1 roster spot and 11 million for Sacramento. Not a very good return for them, so this would likely have to include some convoluted pick swap.

So for example Sacranento has to pick in the top ten to even have a 1st round pick in 2017. Philly would get the first choice, Sacramento the second choice, Minnesota what's left over. Not sure if you have to include Philly in a 3 way trade or not to make this work. If you do they take Payne and Philly gets a future 2nd rounder from us if SAC loses their pick. If SAC does lose their pick in 17, then they would get to have a pick swap with us in 2018 or 2019, depending on which year we get our pick first. We keep our pick if we are in the lottery.

If Vlade and the Kings take this deal our depth chart would end up as:

PG: Rubio/Dunn/Jones

SG:Lavine/Macklemore/Rush

SF:Wiggins/Gay/Shabazz

PF:Dieng/Bjelica/KG

C: KAT/Koufos/Aldrich

Its by no means a perfect roster, but we have incredible Center depth, and could potentially move one of Koufos/Aldrich for a PF around the deadline. We also probably see Gay play a lot more PF than SF with Wiggins, I just wanted 3 players a position. Wing depth is still pretty shaky, as I'm not confident we have a crunch time five I would love, but it gives us a lot of interesting pieces to see what sticks.

I think this roster would put us in serious discussion for the playoffs, which I still believe should be our goal for the season. Even though we're taking on contracts we don't really lose our cap flexibility, as we'd still be under the cap and Koufos is the only player with a contract longer than Pek's, but is very movable.

What do you guys think? Would Sacramento do this for the pick swap? Is it worth potentially losing a top pick in the 2017 draft to try?
