Minnesota Lynx vs. Phoenix Mercury
Today, the Minnesota Vikings-Detroit Lions game is a warmup for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. The Lynx won Game 1 by 28 points (95-67) and were in control throughout. Minnesota had five players score in double figures, led by Seimone Augustus, who had 21.
The game is in Arizona at 4 P.M. CST and the Mercury must win to stay alive in the best-of-three series. It is being televised on ESPN2.
The Indiana Fever defeated the Atlanta Dream on Thursday with an 8-point win in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Game 2 of that series is today at 2 P.M. CST and is also on ESPN2.

The Griz still move

This is it folks, the biggest game of the year for the Wolves. At home, vs. a peer who is moving well ahead of them in the rebuilding process...this is a biggie.

Who can shoot the poorest?
The Flynn/Jennings match up has lost a little of its luster since the last time around. Can the Wolves stick with the Bucks in the 2nd half? Can the solid and improving play of Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, and Corey Brewer continue? Will Jonny Flynn pass the ball? Will Kurt Rambis run reasonable rotations?
The answers to all these questions and more...tonight at the Bradley Center. Opposition blogging can be found here: Brew Hoop
Enjoy.
Here we go again

It's time for yet another match up against a team that was worse off than the Wolves last season but now...not so much. Will the 4 win Wolves be focused and give a solid effort throughout? Is anyone starting to get a bit tired of a 4 win club making excuses about effort? Will anyone watch this game?

Going for 16 in a row; Game Thread #17

The Wolves will try to avoid tying a franchise record 16 losses in a row tonight in Denver. It would be the 3rd time in team history that such a mark has been met (although one of the streaks spanned the end of the 93/94 season and the start of the 94/95 one).
The loss would also tie Kurt Rambis with the just-fired Lawrence Frank for the coach with the longest losing streak during the 09/10 season.
Will the Wolves tie a team record? Will Rambis become the losingest coach in the league? Will Minny beat the spread? Will Melo go off for 30+ in a quarter?
The answers to all these questions and more, tonight at 7. Opposition blogging is being done here: Denver Stiffs
Enjoy the game.
Dumped for something better; Game Thread #16
It was supposed to be an ESPN tilt. Instead, OKC and Milwaukee take the national stage while the Wolves are without local TV.
Hooray!
