Wolves Updates 10/2

Wolves arrive in London and start practicing and more

From John Focke/FSN:

The Minnesota Timberwolves wrapped up training camp in Mankato on Wednesday with an intense scrimmage, afterwards Coach Kurt Rambis said "There were an awful lot of good things offensively and defensively, but throughout the entire ball game we were taking notes of things that came up that we have to work on and keep mentioning to the players.  But I thought they did a really good job.  They were focused, trying to run the offense, a lot of people did a lot of good things out there and I'm very pleased."

The Wolves now turn their attention to the defending NBA Champion LA Lakers as they kick off the preseason in London on Monday at the O2 Arena.

From Alan Hahn/Newsday:

Reports out of Minnesota say Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor is trying to get Ricky Rubio's parents to meet him in Paris, where the Wolves play the Knicks on Wednesday, for dinner so they can discuss their son's plans for the NBA. Apparently, The Rubios aren't interested in having dinner with Taylor and the T-Wolves. If Taylor were to invite the Knicks to the table, perhaps they'd reconsider?
