The Day

Today is the day cited in the NBA/NBAPA CBA as being the last day Ricky Rubio can sign an NBA contract under the 2010/11 salary structure/current CBA.  If he does not sign by today, the team cannot sign him until after the start of the next fiscal NBA season.  With the CBA uncertainty, this will likely not be at the beginning of July, as in prior seasons, and the likelihood of Rubio making it to the NBA for the 2011/12 season with the Wolves dramatically declines.

Rubio's current ACB contract also appears to have guidelines concerning the time frame in which he can buyout his current contract.

Due to the fact that Rubio is still playing in the ACB tournament (find his playoff schedule here), there will likely not be an announcement until shortly after his season is over.
