Klawitter/Slow Break Alert!

Or; I've usurped another fine opportunity for the CH musical folks to chime in on a coherent thread of musical snippets referenced to the epic Bucks/ Wolves game on Friday evening.

Now that you've been forewarned, I will once again be out of town for this game and felt compelled to chime in with some oh-so-very-obvious clips of Milwaukee and Twin Cities music. For the Bucks, there couldn't be a more obvious artist familiar to the Twin City market than this gentleman:

Blues Festival 2010 - Paul Cebar - Song 10 (via jesterpro)

Long a local favorite, Paul has been here quite often and deserves all the praise that has been sent his way.

I should have pulled up a Willie Murphy clip to counter Paul, but once again, the true nature of being a Timberwolves fan prevents me from taking the easier path and forces me down a darker road less traveled. Let's go with someone that the geriatric crowd might recognize from his all-too-short career as a vocalist extraordinaire in the late 70s and 80s:

Doug Maynard Band (via Dik Hedlund)

Of course, since the team is going to lay a heaping helping of humble pie on the team that hails from the city that Mr. Walker so recently saved from fiscal responsibility, I shouldn't pull up a Willie Murphy cut as well. That would just be piling on. Heaven knows that CHers NEVER pile on! Oh wait, PD, are you sayin' that we almost always do? Well then...

Enjoy the game everyone!
