The Minnesota Timberwolves officially announced the team acquired three second-round picks and sent Wes Johnson and a future first to Phoenix in a trade that also involved the New Orleans Hornets.
David Kahn: "This trade frees up salary cap space for us as we pursue adding additional players to our roster. We thank Wes for his two seasons in Minnesota and wish him the best in Phoenix."

Also, the Kirilenko signing was officially announced by the Timberwolves:
"#Twolves sign 10-yr NBA vet and 2004 @NBA All-Star Andrei Kirilenko. The 6-9 fwd spent last season in Russia, winning EuroLeague MVP.. Kirilenko will wear his traditional #47 w/ #Twolves. Plan is to introduce him to local media via press conference mid-August after Olympics."
