Wolves at Pistons
6:30pm Central
No local TV as far as I can tell
Tonight the Wolves preseason schedule mercifully comes to an end. After tonight, the Wolves will return to Minneapolis and spend the next week practicing in anticipation of next Wednesday's season opener against the Orlando Magic.
I expect to see at least a little more of the starters tonight, compared to last night when none of the main guys went more than 18 minutes. It will be interesting to see how the minutes get distributed at the small forward spot, and who among the roster hopefuls get a look.
As we discussed in the post-game thread last night, Zgoda seems to think that Hummel is going to make the roster; that came as a surprise to me, since I think he's the least appealing of the guys fighting for spots. However, the coaching staff seems impressed by his intelligence and game awareness. We'll see what happens.
I expect we'll hear about cuts tomorrow or Saturday; Monday is the deadline for teams to be down to a 15 man roster.
Should be fun to see the new Pistons, and an interesting frontcourt matchup especially, with Andre Drummond, Greg Monroe, and Josh Smith creating a formidable front line.

Enjoy the game. Talk about it here. Be excellent.
