The Timberwolves improved to 7-4 with a home win over the Boston Celtics tonight at Target Center.
It was a balanced effort as Kevin Love, Kevin Martin, and Nikola Pekovic all scored 20+ points, and J.J. Barea, Dante Cunningham, and Robbie Hummel chipped in off the bench.
The Wolves more or less controlled the game throughout, except for a stretch in the 2nd quarter that allowed the Celtics back in the game at halftime. The Wolves stretched the lead again in the third quarter and were not challenged.
Despite the score, it was not the Wolves best performance, as their shooting and defensive rebounding was suspect, and there were periods of sloppy play with the ball. It's nice to see the Wolves able to control a game in which they do not play their best.
Tim will be back with a full recap later. This is your post game thread.
