Timberwolves Notes: Ricky and the Stars, Brooklyn Nets on the Docket Tonight

Good morning friends. Some links and notes for your morning reading.

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

The obvious headliner:

Come on Ricky, would it have killed you to put on some clean clothes that fit?

Last note on the Clippers game: Punch Drunk Wolves has a very clever recap.

Extremely rare sit down interview with James Dolan, Knicks owner. Worth reading; lots of stuff on the Knicks, Madison Square Garden.

Lots of people were frustrated with the loss to the Nuggets. Me too, but that's a tough place to play. They beat the Bulls last night 97-87. 11 guys in double figure minutes for Denver.

Amusing video of Steven Adams high-fiving himself after Byron Mullens ignores him following the Thunder win last night. Adams played 24 minutes, scored 6 points, 7 boards, 3 blks, 2 asts. Useful, that.

Brookyln Nets in tonight. That means KG back in the building. Conceivably for the final time as a player. After a few years, it isn't as big a deal as his first return or two with Boston, but I expect (and hope) he'll still get a nice ovation.

Meanwhile, they already have a preview up at Nets Daily. What a huge disappointment the start of this season has been for Nets fans.

Couldn't find any good musical birthdays, but today is the birthday of three well-known American actresses: Jamie Lee Curtis, Mariel Hemingway, and Scarlett Johansson.

Of course, today is also the 50th anniversary of one of the best known events in American history.

I leave you with this:

The absolute best.

This is a morning open thread. We'll have more on the Nets game as the day moves along.
