Timberwolves Trade Reaction, NBA Notes

It's the day before Thanksgiving. If you are travelling, be safe, and be patient.

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning from Cincinnati, Ohio, where I am sitting in my parents' kitchen (not basement!) drinking coffee.  I hope you all have holiday plans that include good friends and/or family.

A trade is always good to spice up a holiday week, or any week for that matter. what Lots of reaction around the web:

Over at Sactown Royalty they have the Kings perspective. That's one of my favorite SBN blogs around, with really smart folks. Worth reading.

AWAW has a couple of pieces about the trade, including an interesting primer on LRMaM's game.

Here is the Flip quote on the deal:

"We are excited to acquire a solid veteran player in Luc Mbah a Moute, Luc is known as one of the premier defensive players in the league with an ability to guard multiple positions. He adds a lot of energy, grit and a high basketball IQ to our team. We thank Derrick for his contributions to our organization and wish him well in Sacramento."

So what else?

Such a good article over at Blog a Bull about the future now that Derrick Rose is out for the year, again. With a roster restructure coming in summer 2014 regardless, does the front office get a head start on it now?

Three teams above .500 in the Eastern Conference; everyone else is below at this writing. That is hard to fathom.

Meanwhile, after a slow start, tonight's opponent the Denver Nuggets have moved past the Wolves in the standings and are now 7-6. It's vital that the Wolves get a win with the schedule coming up.

We'll have our usual stuff today--I'll probably get a preview up later, then game threads and recap afterwards, but Thursday will be a day off for the blog.
