NBA Trade Rumors: Luke Ridnour reportedly being shopped by Timberwolves

According to a sourced report by Sheridan Hoops, the Minnesota Timberwolves are shopping point guard Luke Ridnour ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have point guard Ricky Rubio back from knee injury which leaves them with a luxury by NBA standards: two starting-caliber point guards. With other teams lacking at this position, it's no surprise to read a rumor that Luke Ridnour might be available via trade.

Luke Ridnour is being shopped by the Minnesota Timberwolves, and a league source told SheridanHoops.com "there is a good chance" the 10th-year point guard will be dealt before the Feb. 21 trade deadline.

The report by Sheridan continues on to say that the T-wolves were involved in trade talks with the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are competing for a playoff spot but due to injury are thin at point. Young guard Alec Burks was rumored to be involved in the deal but the report says those discussions have been tabled.

With the return of Rubio to the court, Ridnour has seen his minutes drop. The veteran point guard is on a reasonable contract and would make a fine addition to a variety of teams. It would not be surprising if his name continues to come up in trade rumors as the NBA trade deadline nears.
