Flip Saunders has, at the moment, a pretty active Twitter feed that might be worth following. Nothing spectacular so far, but he did talk to Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio, and he was on an airplane without bathrooms. So that's fun.
The NBA Draft Combine in Chicago will take place beginning May 15th. I always think these events and individual workouts are more likely to cause bad decisions then enhance the process, but they do it anyway. Invitations have started to go out, and among the guys of local interest, Nate Wolters, Mike Muscala, and Trevor Mbakwe have received invites.
The Euroleague Final Four is this weekend, with the semifinals on Friday. CSKA Moscow vs. Olympiacos followed by Barcelona vs. Real Madrid. Barcelona has a couple of guys who will be in the 2013 draft: shooting guard Alex Abrines and center Marko Todorovic. Neither of them will play much, or at all, unfortunately. You can, however, have the pleasure of watching Real Madrid's Nikola Mirotic, one of the numerous players the Wolves had their hands on at one point or another on draft night 2011, otherwise known as the Rambathon.
Crazy story out of Cleveland. 10 years right there? And a baby?
That Bulls-Heat tilt last night was fantastic. I love the playoffs. Nate Robinson and Jimmy Butler against Dwyane Wade and LeBron James? The Bulls dominated the 4th quarter in Miami without Kirk Heinrich or Luol Deng. Fabulous.
Then I fell asleep at halftime of the Warriors-Spurs tilt. Oops.
Like they all are, this is an open thread.
