A few hours ago, we got this mini-Wojbomb:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Minnesota has emerged as a strong frontrunner to sign free agent Ronny Turiaf, league sources tell Y! Sports.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/statuses/355362158193803264">July 11, 2013</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Which makes sense, because the Wolves could use a veteran big man, given that they are currently with only rookie Gorgui Dieng and D-League refugee Chris Johnson behind the as yet unsigned Nikola Pekovic.
We'll talk more about this signing if it happens, but Turiaf fills a role.
In the meantime, nothing on the Pekovic front, for reasons unclear. Might be they are waiting for other business to finish before announcing anything, but I think the Wolves made a good offer that he'll take.
Also nothing on finishing up the other deals/signings. I think this has to do at least in part with Milwaukee, who have a lot of stuff going on and have to clear enough space for Luke while they also have an offer sheet out on Teague.
Hopefully this stuff gets finished tomorrow, or at least soon, so that we can turn our attention to summer league.
Oh wait. I just fell asleep.
Anyway, open thread be open you know how it goes.
