This seems like a fair deal to me, given the way the market has emerged, with a guy like Martell Webster getting the full MLE. While I would have liked to see them get this done for under $5M per, it isn't outrageous. I am a little surprised it's a three year deal instead of a four year.

Because the Wolves hold Budinger's Bird Rights, it will make sense for them to hold off on submitting the contract to the league until they complete other business, but it appears that the deal is in place.

Budinger was acquired by the Wolves on draft night 2012 in exchange for the 18th pick in the draft. Unfortunately, he suffered a severe knee injury that kept him out for most of the 2012-2013 season.

However, he established himself in Houston as a solid corner three point shooter with good athleticism and size for the wing spot, and is a favorite of coach Rick Adelman.

So Chase Budinger is back in the fold. Welcome back Chase. Glad to have you.

Perhaps not all of the Ts crossed and I's dotted. Third year potentially a player option.
