Not much going on in Wolves World at the moment.

If you missed it, Gorgui Dieng got to meet President Obama last week with the rest of the champion Louisville Cardinals at the White House.

Two things I expect this week: Nikola Pekovic to come to an agreement with the Wolves on a new contract, and the 2013-14 schedule to be released by the NBA. We'll keep you posted.

I really liked the Pacers' acquisition of Luis Scola from the Suns for Gerald Green, a Plumlee, and a pick. All of a sudden, the Pacers might have a bench, with Scola, C.J. Watson, the return of Danny Granger. Are we sure Miami is still better?

The West won the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday, led by Candice Parker's 23 points. All three Lynx who started the game (Augsutus, Moore, and Brunson) scored in double figures.

Yesterday the USMNT won the Gold Cup, showing their B-team is better then the rest of CONCACAF's B-teams. The U.S. dominated possession against Panama, but could only break through once as substitute Brek Shea slammed in an Alejandro Bedoya cross in the 2nd half. The U.S. resumes World Cup Qualifying in September.

Historical Birthday: today is the 130th anniversary of the birth of Benito "Il Duce" Mussolini.
