Lithuania vs. Croatia will be the first semi-final, tipping at around 10:45 Central time.
Croatia has been up and down in this tournament, but are led by wing player Bojan Bogdanovic and center Ante Tomic. They topped their 2nd round group with a 4-1 record, but only outscored their opponents by 9 points.
Meanwhile, Lithuania beat a strong Italy squad in the quarterfinals, and have been quite impressive this tournament. They have been led by point guard Mantas Kalnietis and have featured a balanced attack. Jonas Valanciunas has been a useful part of their rotation, but has not been the breakout star many expected at this tournament.
The marquee matchup of Spain vs. France will tip at around 2pm Central time.
Don't need to really preview this one; it probably features the two most talented teams in the tournament. They have both had their hiccups over the past couple of weeks, but appear ready for the business end of the tournament. Despite featuring a number of star players, France has not quite put it together on the international stage. Spain is one of the teams they have not been able to solve. They get another chance today, led by Tony Parker, against Marc Gasol and Spain.
