Nikola Pekovic's last 12 games: 23 and 10 on 55% shooting. Over 5 offensive rebounds a game. He's arguably been the best center in the league this year. Of course, the Wolves are 6-6 in those 12 games. Because Wolves.
Meanwhile, news is breaking that Jordan Crawford is heading from Boston to the Golden State Warriors in a trade involving Toney Douglas. Marshon Brooks may also be involved heading to Golden State, and there might be a 3rd team providing a draft pick for Boston. And now it sounds like Miami is the third team, with Douglas heading to South Beach and the Heat sending Joel Anthony and picks to Boston (including Philly's protected first rounder that will probably become 2nds).
Tonight, the Kings are in town for a 7:00 pm tip off. Sacramento played and lost last night in Indiana, so the Wolves have both home court and schedule advantage tonight. Derrick Williams makes his return to Target Center tonight. He's been shooting better with the Kings then he did with the Wolves early this season, and has been playing 25 minutes a night. Meanwhile, Boogie Cousins is leading the league in usage, and has made a significant step forward in his efficiency. He's having a big year; the Cousins-Pekovic matchup should be fun.
What else is going on? Let's see. Alexey Shved, A.J. Price, Nikola Pekovic, and J.J. Barea made bears yesterday:
