Wolves 121 - Warriors 120 post game thread

Have we finally shaken free?

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

The quick and dirty:

  • Wolves got their first close-game win the old fashioned way: fourth quarter scoring and defense
  • Love is an all star and he played like one. Thank the flying noodle monster his knee is okay
  • Our bench has looked very solid since Turiaf returned. Not sure if the two are connected, but wouldn't be surprised if they are
  • Wolves got it done on defense when it mattered, but as a whole, tonight was a hilarious display of 12 guys on one court collectively not knowing how to play defense
  • I commend Steph Curry for being unselfish on that last play, but I think I speak for everyone when I say it's better he take a contested shot than giving Harrison Barnes an open one
  • Also, 33 points, 15 assist. But clearly not an NBA point guard
  • (it's still as painful for me to watch him now as it was in '09)
  • It's also painful to be watching Paul George right now. 36 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks
  • Meanwhile Cousins and Gay are both in street clothes. In their wake, Isaiah Thomas and Marcus Thornton have combined for 80 points
The Wolves made up for the terrible loss to the Kings at home by shooting one out against the Dubs on the road. Hopefully 6 weeks from now we look back as say 'yeah, this is the game the team turned the corner'.
